About Free HTML to APK

We build free tools that turn websites and web code into real Android apps, for people who know HTML, or just have a website, but have never touched Android Studio.

Who we are

Free HTML to APK is made by Smartrix Labs, an independent app developer. We publish the Android app HTML to APK: Website to App on Google Play and run this website, including the online HTML to APK converter.

What we make

  • An online converter that turns a website address, a ZIP, a folder or HTML code into a signed APK and an AAB for Google Play, in your browser, with no account.
  • An Android app that does the same right on your phone, with a code editor and live preview.
  • 79 app templates, from a to-do list to small games, that you can open and change.
  • The FreeApp JavaScript bridge, which gives web code real phone features such as notifications, the camera, a QR scanner and in-app purchases. It is documented in the JavaScript API reference.
  • Guides on publishing on Google Play, closed testing and more on the blog.

Why it is free

We think turning a website into an app should not cost a monthly subscription or put someone else's logo on your work. The apps you build are yours: no watermark, no branding of ours and no ads of ours inside them.

We keep the service running in three ways:

  • The Android builder shows a short rewarded ad before a build, which you always choose to watch.
  • Optional plans in the app, described on the pricing page, remove those ads or add priority support.
  • Articles on this website may show ads from Google. The online builder itself never shows ads.

How we handle your files

The app keeps your projects and signing keys on your phone. The online converter uploads your files only for the few seconds it takes to build and sign your app, keeps them in memory and then discards them. We do not store or look at your files, keys or passwords. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How we write our guides

Our articles are written from our own experience of building and publishing Android apps, including running Google Play's closed test and answering its production access questions. When we describe Google Play rules, we link to Google's own pages and check them against Play Console, and we update articles when the rules change. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
